What to Bring on Your Windjammer Cruise

We want your windjammer cruise to be the absolute best it can be; so we thought we'd give you an overview of what you should bring on your Maine sailing adventure!

We recommend that our guests use soft luggage that can be easily stowed.  No steamer trunks, please! Regardless of when you’re sailing, you’ll want to bring casual, comfortable clothes, rubber-soled shoes and a raincoat.  Lots of clothing layers work best because it can get cool on the water, or suddenly very hot when the winds are light. Don’t forget your shorts and bathing suit…even if you don’t go swimming, you might want to sunbathe on deck.

Guests are also encouraged to bring small musical instruments, as well as a camera, binoculars, hat, sunscreen and a good book. We provide ice chests for your beverages but we request that alcohol be used only in moderation. There is no smoking below deck on any windjammer and several of the vessels have a no-smoking policy on the entire ship.
