CORNBREAD
from the Mistress
(serves 35)
4 cups cornmeal
4 cups white flour
1 cup honey
4 cups buttermilk
(milk w. lemon juice)
4 eggs
12 tbs. melted butter
8 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp Salt
Beat honey, milk and eggs. Add dry ingredients and mix. Add butter; mix again. Pour into large lasagna pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until slightly brown. Cut into 3-inch squares. |
