BROWNIES
from the Mistress

(serves 35)

1 lb (16 oz) unsweetened chocolate
2 cups shortening
8 cups sugar
12 eggs
4 tsp. vanilla
5 cups flour
4 tsp. baking powder
4 cups nuts
3 cups milk

Melt chocolate and shortening together. Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla, and stir. Add remaining dry ingredients. Bake in two large lasagna pans.
